uncompromised

Prana (an uncompromised life)

In Australia, Europe and other parts of the world, the beauty industry has caught up with an immutable truth: their clients now regard skincare products with increasing scepticism. For Prana, the realisation was a long time coming and the answer is instructive.

Aside from our deeply personal respect for everyone who shares this planet with us; the immutable truth for us that is our bodies respond to everything we eat, good or bad. Likewise our skin, our hair and most importantly our underlying cell structure absorbs and responds accordingly to everything we ingest or apply from the outside. In short:

We believe that whether we live well and long is compromised by what we eat, what we put into (and onto) our bodies. The truth is, we can’t afford to blithely ignore the inherent risks of chemical compounds that seek to imitate and commercialise nature.

Beauty is evident where there is health

This is a given (or it ought to be), and signifies not only health but respect for Life itself… the first rule of thumb for any serious beauty therapist. Where nature can do the job – and where we are at the same time exhorted to promote unnatural products… why compromise?

We choose our Suppliers… very carefully

Our product suppliers are selective and carefully chosen. We don’t care so much for ‘big’ as those we believe in.

Firstly, our approach is Ayurvedic: which stresses the use of plant-based medicines and treatments to build healthy physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. In practice, that means we source fresh locally sourced herbal preparations in preference to pharmaceutical substitutes.

That said, we do not ignore science. Where there is credible evidence to support the long-term use of a superior treatment we are open – providing that Mother Nature has not already given us a much less invasive answer.

So in the end… we proceed with diligence and care

DILIGENCE and CARE cannot be compromised. Our role is not to promote products, businesses or corporations. Our role is to care for you. And that underpins what we do – the products we use and the standard of treatment you experience (and pay for) is sacrosanct.
