When Life is Dark, Ayurveda shines a Light

We all have moments of anxiety triggered by real events, ‘what ifs’ and so on… but depression can range from low constant ‘down’, moods swings triggered by hormonal changes – or something else entirely.

Ayurveda – ancient meets modern

Ayurveda recognises and respects traditional health practitioners and their treatments. It also recognises that depression is debilitating. It never asks that which is impossible for the depressed: focus, determination and action (they are not in that space!) Instead, it sees ‘where we are right now’ and offers safe and natural ways to shine a light into the darkness… we want to help, and we humbly offer our ideas to bridge the modern with ancient. It works.

Wherever possible, go to bed early and rise early. You will anyway, but the soft ultraviolet rays work as mind stimulators and mood dilators – that is proven science, not wishful thinking.

If you can, try Yoga poses (we can advise you on the various techniques without asking you to join or commit to a group).

Eat well. Balance that which you desire with everything else. It’s the perfect diet!

Indulge your senses. Run a bath… immerse yourself. Nothing is asked, nothing is required. Just absorb and dream.
