The Wedding Speech

The Wedding Speech

Hi Agnelo,

I was best man at a wedding reception for James recently and since Prana got a mention in my speech, I thought I’d pass it along. Thanks mate. You and Saroj are the best. Enjoy 🙂 Andie

WELCOME ladies and gentlemen

I have the great honour of giving the first toast to the new couple and I’ve studied the manuals closely so I know that the best man’s speech should last no longer than the groom’s first night performance. So in conclusion…

As most of you know, I met James six years ago. What you may not know is that I bumped into him again recently at Prana (our local fitness studio) in Applecross. He was attempting to build strength and endurance, presumably for the upcoming nuptials (good luck there, buddy – let me know how you go!). I was there because a work colleague had bet me I couldn’t lose some weight for this event. As you can all see, I won that one.

Anyway, I digress…

To James’ parents, thank you. The pre-wedding pool-party was a blast. It is no fault of yours that guests who chose to go skinny-dipping were ill-advised in the presence of teenage relatives with iPhones. I feel for you both. Who knew you’d become YouTube legends?

But enough of the name and shame…

James and Angie, here’s to you and wedded bliss. I hope you’ll join me in wishing them both a happy and fun-filled life together. Congratulations!
