saroj velho talks about perception

Sun, surf… perception is everything!

From a dear friend of mine

Filed away on what I can only describe as ‘musings’ – this message came from a dear friend of mine in India recently… “Saroj, you and the family seem to have it all made with a glamorous life in Australia!”

Life situations are universally the same

It’s true, the climate here is blissful and so are the beaches but really, it is all a matter of perspective…

Agnelo, the boys and I live in a beautiful country and we love Australia but people and life situations are universally the same regardless of where you live. Just as in England, there is no free ride here and we have never expected anything else but to work hard for everything we have.

The truth is, Agnelo and I have travelled, lived and made our home in many places. And in each of them there have been many trials and tribulations along the way… things to navigate, understand and accept as a particular country’s values and culture.

So much to celebrate

My dear boys (I include you here Agnelo) and I have found a home here with our extended family members. Each of us celebrates its freedoms, its magnificent landscape, its climate and its opportunities as well as its flaws. We have made loyal friends here (many started out as clients of Prana whilst others simply believed in us and pitched in; and continue to travel with us). We are blessed. Each of us knows that nothing is ‘a given’.

Glamour? Sun and surf? Easy living?

That would be Utopia – a country I’ve never visited!
